Ukrainian fighters at the “World Jiu-Jitsu IBJJF 2018”

One of the biggest international tournaments “World Jiu-Jitsu IBJJF” has taken place in California, USA, recently. Ukrainian fighters from the SC “Borets” / ZR Team Ukraine have successfully represented their native country and challenged with great competitors.

European champion IBJJF 2017 Yaroslav Blazhko was full of confidence. Sportsman finished prematurely his first three fights but lost the 4th by points – 6:4.

His teammate Roman Nepota has moved to purple belt division recently. Thus his combat debut was at the one of the most difficult BJJ tournaments in the world! Even though Roman lost in the first fight by points – 7:4, he got an incredible sports experience.

Despite the fact this time Ukrainian fighters came back home without desired medals, the head coach of the club was satisfied with the results of his team. “Yaroslav Blazhko and Serhii Krasovskyi have a great technique level and I am sure that we will get medals in 2019. Roman Nepota needs a little bit more time to get hand in his new division. However, his victories are also not far away!”, – shared Ievgen Skyrda.
