Keenan & Bergeron’s Battle Goes To Razor-Thin Decision At Fight To Win Pro

Fight To Win Pro held its 50th event on Friday night, and what a show it was in Minneapolis.

The main event saw black belt firecracker and F2W Pro veteran Thomas Keenan grab a split-decision win over Minnesota native, Metamoris veteran, and 14-3 MMA fighter Brandon Bergeron. Keenan was coming off a big victory over the ultra-tough John Combs.

Keenan opened up the match with quick low single, but momentum shifted immediately afterward to Bergeron, who displayed a very crafty single leg-X guard and seemed to be in his comfort zone. Bergeron was constantly threatening sweeps, submissions, and generally being successful at preventing Keenan from going on offense.

After weathering the early storm Keenan managed to power through Bergeron and slammed on a few sub attempts of his own – notably an Estima lock that looked particularly painful.

The match managed to go the full eight minutes and Keenan was awarded the victory.
